Guided tour:
MOTO Workshop&Museum Tour in Pete
Spice up your clients excursion to Jozani National Park
with a visit to the MOTO Workshop and Ukili Museum in Pete!
Location:
- Pete 2km before Jozani National Park opposite Pete school
Activities:
- – guided Ukili Museum tour: The Art of Plaiting in Zanzibar
- – learning to plait strips of ukili under guidance of local women
- – learning to design and batik your own t-shirt, sheet or table cloth
- – make a screen print
- – learning about weaving with master weavers at the wooden looms
- – delicious traditional Swahili lunch which food is prepared on fire-wood saving stoves and/or on solar cookers
Duration:
- 2h-3h, lunch and drinks inluded
- note: During the fasting month of Ramadhan (18.6.2015 – 17.7.2015) you can arrange the tour for late afternoon/evening and celebrate ‘futari’ (the evening meal when Muslims end their fast at the time of sunset) together with the Pete team.

4 pax US$ 15 p.p. - (not included: transport to/from Pete, shirts and fabrics for batik have to be purchased at reasonable price)

Walk-in customers are welcome.
The museum is open and workshop is always busy. Handicraft items are available in our workshop-boutique.
